| History |
Pro-Print was established over forty years ago and the strong values we established then formed the roots of our success and are still very much evident today. Our steady growth over time has been the result of our ability and understanding of the needs to keep up with today's high demands for state of the art technology. Looking around our plant today, it is perhaps hard to visualize our humble beginnings four decades ago. Ernest & Doreen Roberts were given an opportunity of a lifetime when in 1964 they bought the Print division from the then Allen Hanburys, now Glaxo Smithkline Welcome.
Equipment comprised of 3 Heidelberg Platens, 2 Handfed croppers, 1 Heidelberg cylinder, Ludlow and Guillotine along with 12 members of staff. Yet, rest assured that moving forward and alongside new techniques, accepting greater challenges, meeting tighter deadlines in today's world of paperless artwork and digital proofs. Pro-Print will not forget that skill, experience, craftsmanship and unparalleled service that have always been the fundamental basis of our success and well-earned reputation. Today Pro-Print is managed and owned by Barry Roberts, son of Ernest and Doreen Roberts. Barry joined the company in 1965 and has built the company to where we are today. With a staff compliment of 150, of which more than 40% has had 10 years service or more, Pro-Print has many years of experience to offer the Print industry. |
